It was a sunny day of July when the story of two people began. They met because of a common relative. Until they developed feelings of belongingness. The two became good friends.

Johnny, an engineer, is a kind-hearted man. Every girl could ever fall in love with him. Why not? He’s also caring and thoughtful. He often drive her bestfriend, Monique, the feeling of comfort.

Monique, on the other hand, a girl who loves the thought of falling in love. She often dream to have a prince who will save her from distress. And she loves his bestfriend more than anybody else.

They love each other. They laugh together. And cheer each other. They share the same thoughts. They make worst things simple. And one day, Monique woke up falling in love with her bestfriend.

The thought of disbelief at first reared her. But eventually she assumed the thought. From then on she unguarded her feelings towards Johnny. Monique was too vocal with regards her feelings. She began to misinterpret  Johnny’s sweetness.

Unknown to Monique, Johnny left his girl back home. Johnny loves Helene. They have been together for four years. She loves her undoubtedly. But from the time Johnny met Monique, he’d been disturbed. Disturbed from the thought of Monique being near. That Monique is way too far from Helene’s  self-centered attitude. And Monique’s not difficult to love after all.

Johnny and Monique became together as lovers. They love each other. They’re happy. They’ve been dreaming of growing old together. Having their own castle. Dreaming of having their own princes and princesses. Everything ran smooth. Until one fine day, Helene rocked Monique’s world.
Helene sent a message to Monique and it read, ” I give you the chance of having my boyfriend. Johnny’s all yours. May you be happy with him.”
Monique talked to Johnny after knowing that. And it shook her knowing Johnny’s committed with other girl. And what’s most shocking, is when Johnny told her right infront her face that she loves Helene so much. It tore her heart. All she had ever known is to give up. And she did.
She told Johnny everything she wanted to say. It hurts every fiber of her being. She never hate Johnny. But loves him even more. She’s a fool, yes. But all she ever knew is, she wanted Johnny to be happy.
Johnny confessed his feelings for her though. He said, “I love you but I love her too. I don’t want to leave her. I don’t want to leave you. I don’t want to hurt you. Please forgive me.”
Johnny had to go back home to the province. She had the whole day with Monique. They had the best day that day. And when it’s time to say goodbye, Monique can’t help the tears.
“Monique, I’m sorry for everything I caused you. I don’t mean it. I’m too afraid to tell you”, said Johnny.
Monique answered in silence. Gave Johnny a big hug. “It’s okay. I understand. You know I’ll be hurt that’s why you chose not to tell me.”
